DMC Outreach Program at New Paradise

Last weekend (February 26, 2011), we did an exploration of three of the caves in Landan, Polomolok. But aside from spelunking, there was a more significant activity that DMC have had for the people of Sitio New Paradise. Some club members, together with other mountaineering enthusiasts in the region, extended their arms for at most 20 families who have been living the simplest way of rural life. The families were awarded with the collected clothings from different groups and individuals, as well as, were given brand new slippers.

Indeed, it was a heartfelt event organized by Dolefil Mountaineering Club. A big big thanks to the kindest donors who didn't think twice of spending an amount for the people in New Paradise, credits to those who  bought  the new slippers for them.

Being part of this activity, I saw from the people's eyes how grateful and thankful they are; given  the "simpleng pagtagad".

It's so good to unwind, especially if it's all-expense-paid... Our team division grabbed the opportunity of a free weekend to have our teambuilding, and likewise, relax at Eden Nature Park and Resort. Moreover, 2010 was quite a challenging year for us, but still, we were able to meet our targets so this activity faraway from our "barracks" was worth a reward.

Anyway, as part of my adventure, I took some photos of Eden Nature Park because you might just be interested to go visit the place.

Bonding at the Music City

Since the tonnage is low and work doesn't require that much pressure yet, the four of us were able to bond and hold our late and post-Christmas Party (minus the gift giving), likewise our pre-Valentine Barkada Get Together... Of course, since one of our hobbies is karaoke, we went to do our concert at the Music City, Sun City Suites in General Santos City...

Since February is a love month, Music City has this "post it" Gimik, letting all their customers write, on a heart-shape paper, some things about love.. Uhmmm... I remembered the famous Basha-Popoy Confrontation so I wrote it down... It has nothing to do with my heart though. I just love the line (defensive mode)....

 Anyway, let me just share our happy concert to all of you, guyz...
